Fritz von Tagen develops the 5’ radius cove system and has tooling created to create the first Pro Cyc cove modules from fiberglass. The coves were 8’ x 8’ with a 60-inch radius.
The first patent is issued for the 5’ cove module system and parts are beginning to sell to professional photography studios.

Pro Matte I is developed as a chroma key green flooring material. It is sold by the linear foot in 40-inch wide strips.
Systems Super 3EZ (built-in) and 4FS (freestanding) are developed. These are the first Pro Cyc systems to allow the expanded corner to be incorporated.
Due to the growing need for studios in smaller spaces, System 1.5EZ is developed with an 18-inch cove radius and parts made from fiberglass.
System 4QS is developed with the “quick seam” design which allows the modules to be mudded without drywall tape.
The wheel caster system is rolled out for System 4QS which allows the freestanding cyc to actually be rolled across the studio floor.
Introduced Pro Matte II flooring which was quickly replaced by Pro Matte III in 80-inch wide strips and with lower light reflectance than previous versions

Pro Cyc’s largest system, the Super 5EZ built-in cyclorama system with a 60-inch horizontal cove radius and patented non-parabolic corner, is released in ABS plastic for the first time ever.
